The Geometric Solids comprises of a set of ten solid wooden 3-D shapes that are coloured in a bright blue. The shapes include:
- A Triangular prism
- A Rectangular prism
- A Cube
- A Cylinder
- A Cone
- A Triangular pyramid
- A Square pyramid
- A Sphere
- A Ellipsoid
- A Ovoid
These are housed in a wooden box along with seven wooden cards displaying 2D geometric figures, drawn with a thin blue line, and stands for solids that may roll.
The purpose of these 3-D shapes is to demonstrate how 3-dimensional shapes are related to 2-dimensional shapes.
These blue geometric solids will develop your little one's stereognostic sense - their ability to perceive and understand both the form and nature of objects through touch.
